6 early Oscars 2024 predictions

While I doubt I’ll be jumping on anything too hard too early (late momentum is now the largest factor in the awards race), it’s still fun to predict what films/performances could show up for the 2024 Oscars.

Cannes next month could reveal some early bolters (Killers of the Flower Moon, May December, The Zone of Interest), but the big contenders typically emerge at Toronto, Telluride, and Venice (all Sept).

Then again, Everything Everywhere All at Once premiered at SXSW in March 2022, and rode the momentum wave for twelve straight months, so anything’s possible.
